The SHABBY ROAD ORCHESTRA is an all-star 12-piece band based in Minneapolis and Rochester dedicated to the live recreation of the Beatles studio years albums, iconic rarely-performed recordings that the Beatles never performed live. They perform a wide variety of songs, note for note, as heard on the albums Revolver, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, Magical Mystery Tour, The White Album, Abbey Road and Let it Be. Without wigs, costumes, accents and impersonations, they bring their good cheer and love of the timeless music to every show.
The SHABBY ROAD ORCHESTRA first formed over six years ago to perform the Beatles albums Magical Mystery Tour and Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band in their entirety on the occasion of their 50th anniversary as part of a capital campaign to raise funds for the now-completed expansion of the Ronald McDonald House of Rochester. It featured 30 musicians and filled the Rochester Art Center in the spring of 2017. The SHABBY ROAD ORCHESTRA have since gone on to perform to sold-out audiences at the best music venues in the Twin Cities, including the Dakota, the Chanhassen Dinner Theater, The Parkway Theater, Icehouse, and Crooners.
This show marks the first SHABBY ROAD ORCHESTRA concert in Rochester in four years.
