Weddings at the Chateau

The Historic Chateau Theatre is an iconic venue for special events in the heart of downtown Rochester. We host a limited number of weddings and other private celebrations, and invite you to consider the Chateau for a memorable experience in a historic place.

Holidays include Memorial Day Sunday/Monday, July 3 and 4, Labor Day Sunday/Monday, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year's Day.

What’s Included?

  • Capacity is 490 for standing events, 300 for theater seating, and 250 for banquet seating.

  • Rental includes tables and chairs for up to 250 guests, basic use of house sound system, microphone, and lighting, stage, and a dedicated event liaison. 

  • Personalized marquee, wedding party access to mezzanine green room, Parlour lounge.

  • A/V support for live music or other performance events requires third-party production staff. 

  • All food and beverage providers must be licensed with the City of Rochester/Olmsted County, and complete a one-time Chateau catering certification program at least 30 days prior to your event.

To reserve your date:

  1. Complete the following form and schedule an appointment with our event manager to discuss further questions, review available dates, and schedule a tour.

  2. A nonrefundable 30% booking deposit (which will be applied to your rental fee) is required with rental agreement to guarantee date. Remaining balance is due 30 days prior to event.
