Join We Bike Rochester on April 30th as Henry Grabar leads us in a dialogue about the pitfalls of car oriented design and the hope for the community we can build!
More than any other use, our city is dominated by car parking. It occupies what could be space for housing, it makes our places less accessible to get around, less bikeable, less walkable, less vibrant, and FAR less sustainable. In the next few years we have the opportunity few cities have: To course correct on a 70 year experiment, and to create a Rochester that centers people of all ages and all abilities. Author Henry Grabar ignited a national discussion with his book: Paved Paradise. A discussion that recently had him cited by the White House.
This event is sponsored by: AARP MN, DMC, CycleHoop, Sierra Club, We Bike Rochester, and Age Friendly Olmsted County.
The event is free to attend, but your RSVP will help organizers plan and donations encouraged.
